Acquisition of Pharma Logistics Company
Mariner’s services and logistics pillar, Mariner Services has acquired a 65% shareholding in Arias Pharma Logistics, based in Lithuania. Arias Pharma Logistics specialises in pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics, providing time-critical freight forwarding, temperature-controlled transportation, warehousing and GDP-compliant logistics solutions for sensitive pharmaceutical products. The acquisition strengthens Mariner’s international logistics network and adds dedicated pharma logistics capabilities in the Baltic region, complementing our operations across Malta, Albania and our wider Mediterranean and European network. We look forward to working with the Arias team and our partners as we continue to develop our presence in specialised and time-critical logistics.

Transportation of new cargo at Baltic Container Terminal
Mariner’s container terminal in Latvian, Baltic Container Terminal, BCT has started a new project focused on unloading cars directly from containers, creating a faster and more efficient solution for vehicle importers. For importers, unloading vehicles at BCT helps save both time and money, streamlining the logistics process. Following customs clearance, transport companies will deliver the vehicles to dealer centres across Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Baltic Container Terminal wins prestigious award
On the 4th December Mariner’s container terminal in Latvia, Baltic Container Terminal, received the “Platīna Pēle” award in the category of Digital Transformation of a Company for the implementation of private 5G network at its terminal. This is the first private 5G network in the Baltics, delivering higher efficiency, a significantly enhanced level of security, and advanced digitalisation across the terminal’s extensive port area. The award recognises BCT’s strategic commitment to innovation and its ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency through cutting edge digital solutions.

New operational record at Baltic Container Terminal
Mariner’s container terminal in Latvia, Baltic Container Terminal, has achieved a new operational record. On 10th November, the terminal handled its highest ever container volume on a single vessel when MSC’s MSC Santa Maria called at the port. More than 5,400 TEUs were handled during the operation.

Mariner completes yard extension
Works on the yard extension at Mariner’s container terminal in Latvia, Baltic Container Terminal, are complete. The terminal extended its container stacking area by 29,200 square meters, thus increasing its annual capacity to 550,000TEUs.

Mariner transports racing yachts
Mariner, through its shipping and logistics division Mariner Shipping has successfully completed the intricate transportation of racing yachts bound for the 46th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race, one of the Mediterranean's most renowned offshore sailing events. The logistics operation involved the transportation of seven yachts onboard BBC Livorno from Southampton to Malta. Mariner Shipping is the local partner for global yacht carrier Peters and May.

Mariner deploys additional reach stackers and empty container handler
Mariner’s container terminal in Latvia, Baltic Container Terminal, have taken delivery of two additional reach stackers and an empty container handler for full container handling. These terminal equipment are an integral part of BCT’s ongoing investment programme aimed at increasing capacity, enhancing cargo-handling efficiency and supporting the terminal’s infrastructure.

Baltic Container Terminal handles largest container vessel to date
MSC’s container vessel, MSC Ingrid, under MSC service Baltic Loop 7 called at Mariner’s container terminal in Latvia, Baltic Container Terminal on the 5th February 2025.
