TIV’s containerised cargo and logistics facilities

TIV is ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 certified. The terminal operates in both the containerised cargo sector as well as integrated logistics. TIV has four reserved quays (Veneto, Trento, Bolzano and Lombardia) that have a total length of 1,325 metres and are all easily accessible from the entrance of the commercial port. The terminal is connected by rail to the main cargo rail stations and to six rail tracks for a total length of four kilometres within the terminal’s boundary. TIV manages 185,000 square metres of yard, 17,000 square metres of warehousing as well as related port handling equipment that includes five mobile harbour cranes on the quay and fifteen reach stackers on the yard. This enables TIV to conduct container loading and unloading operations as well as storage operations and container movement activities. 4,500 square metres are allocated to office and maintenance buildings. Amongst those shipping lines calling at the terminal are MSC and ZIM.

The remaining area is dedicated to quays, stacking areas and internal roads. TIV provides a stuffing and stripping service for containers and proper plug connections that feed more than 60 reefer containers. Should conditions dictate, two special power generators can support an additional 50 reefer units. Where dangerous cargo and IMO containers of the most dangerous cargo classes are concerned, the terminal guarantees those areas set aside for the purpose.
